Resources for informed decisions.

Practical checklists to clarify requirements, prepare your team and make enterprise technology discussions more productive.

PROJECT PLANNING TOOLKIT

Prepare before you commit.

Use these questions with your business owners and delivery team. Record uncertainties as open decisions instead of treating assumptions as requirements.

Project brief checklist
  1. What business problem are we solving, and who owns it?
  2. Which users, sites and processes are in scope?
  3. What outcome will demonstrate success, and how will we measure it?
  4. Which systems and integrations must remain in operation?
  5. What are the budget, timing and resource constraints?
  6. Who will approve requirements, testing and go-live readiness?
ERP readiness checklist
  1. Assign process owners for finance, procurement, inventory, production and sales as relevant.
  2. Document legal entities, currencies, sites, user roles and reporting requirements.
  3. Identify master-data owners and assess duplicates, missing values and historical records.
  4. List interfaces, dependencies and reconciliation requirements.
  5. Agree realistic business test scenarios, including exceptions and period-end activities.
  6. Prepare training, cutover, support and business continuity responsibilities.
Automation assessment checklist
  1. Describe the process trigger, inputs, outputs and normal decision rules.
  2. Record transaction volumes, handling time, waiting time and rework.
  3. Identify exceptions that need human review and the person responsible.
  4. Confirm system access, approval controls and audit requirements.
  5. Define failure alerts, manual recovery and support ownership.
  6. Agree pilot acceptance criteria before estimating savings or scaling the solution.
