ADVANCED PLANNING & PRODUCTION SCHEDULING

Infor APS.
Production planning with control.

Make production commitments with a clearer view of materials, capacity and priorities. MetaDynamic helps you configure and adopt Infor planning and scheduling capabilities around the ERP product and factory model you actually run.

THE BUSINESS FOUNDATION

Better planning begins with the right product and model.

Advanced planning and scheduling balances demand with supply and available resources. Infor CloudSuite Industrial / SyteLine includes APS capabilities; LN and M3 have their own planning landscapes and may use different scheduling applications.

We assess your ERP and production requirements first, then select the appropriate planning scope. The implementation focuses on accurate inputs, explicit constraints, planner decision routines and a controlled link between the plan and factory execution.

CAPABILITIES

What Infor APS can enable.

The implementation scope is selected around your operating model, product capabilities and business priorities.

Demand & priorities

Define which orders, forecasts and priorities the plan should consider and how conflicts are resolved.

Material availability

Review stock, expected receipts and component requirements that influence feasible production dates.

Capacity modelling

Represent relevant resources, shifts, calendars and operation times in the selected planning model.

Planning modes

Assess finite or infinite planning behaviour where supported, and make the assumptions clear to users.

Promise-date assessment

Evaluate supported availability or capable-to-promise functions against the quality of the configured model.

Exception review

Give planners a repeatable process for shortages, late orders and capacity conflicts.

ADVANCED BY DESIGN

A plan is useful when the team understands why it changed.

We make planning assumptions visible and test them against real orders. Scenario reviews examine the effect of material delays, changed priorities and resource constraints before planners rely on the output.

Model accuracy

Validate routings, calendars, supplies and priorities before interpreting calculated dates.

Scenario discipline

Compare approved alternatives and document the assumptions behind each planning decision.

Execution feedback

Keep actual progress and transactions current so planning does not depend on obsolete factory information.

METADYNAMIC SERVICES

From first assessment to everyday support.

Choose a focused Infor APS engagement or a phased programme covering implementation, integration, adoption and support.

Planning diagnostic

Identify unstable inputs, recurring exceptions and gaps in the current planning routine.

Product & scope assessment

Match the requirement to SyteLine APS, LN planning or relevant M3 scheduling options.

Data & resource modelling

Prepare operation times, resource groups, shifts and material parameters.

Configuration & validation

Run realistic demand scenarios and compare results with expected behaviour.

Planner training

Explain planning logic, exception interpretation and decision responsibilities.

Ongoing optimisation

Review data quality and adjust the model through controlled improvements.

OUR DELIVERY APPROACH

Progress with clear decision points.

Each stage ends with a review of deliverables, risks and readiness. Business owners stay involved from discovery through stabilisation.

PLANNING & COMMERCIAL CLARITY

Know the scope before you commit.

Planning capability and licensing are product-specific. Confirm the exact ERP, APS or scheduling application, version, sites and required planning modes. An Infor APS requirement should not be treated as a single interchangeable module across LN, M3 and SyteLine.

Scope & dependencies

Document the sites, users, processes, integrations and data that the proposal covers.

Delivery & acceptance

Tie each workstream to testable deliverables, named owners and explicit exclusions.

Support & change

Agree support coverage, escalation, release responsibilities and the improvement backlog.

YOUR QUESTIONS ANSWERED

Infor APS: frequently asked questions.

Is Infor APS one module for every Infor ERP?

No. APS is associated with specific product capabilities, including SyteLine / CloudSuite Industrial. LN and M3 planning and scheduling options must be assessed within their own product landscapes.

What is finite-capacity planning?

It considers resource availability when calculating a feasible plan. Its usefulness depends on accurate calendars, operation times, resource definitions and the selected product’s planning behaviour.

How is APS different from MRP?

MRP focuses on material requirements. APS can also consider resource constraints and planning priorities. The precise differences depend on the application and configured planning mode.

Can APS guarantee an on-time delivery date?

No system can guarantee an operational outcome. Calculated dates depend on model accuracy, current supply information and actual execution; planners must review exceptions and changing conditions.

What data should we prepare?

Typical inputs include demand, stock, expected receipts, bills of material, routings, resource groups, shift calendars and priorities. We validate the required inputs for your selected application.

Can you help planners after go-live?

Yes. Support can include exception reviews, model adjustments, data-quality checks and reinforcement of the agreed planning routine.

Turn scheduling pressure into a practical plan.

Bring your current planning challenges and ERP details. We will help identify the constraints, data and delivery scope that matter.
