Process overview

Project context

One payroll cycle. Several accountable teams.

Payroll connects HR records with financial transactions. Attendance, leave, salary components and employee deductions must be brought together before the payroll team can review a period and prepare its outputs.

For this manufacturing and distribution engagement, the project scope combined HR and payroll automation with Business Central. The implementation included employee-level processing as well as routines for the wider payroll cycle.

Implemented capability

What the payroll solution covers

01

Attendance & leave

Monthly attendance processing, verification and leave application actions bring the inputs for payroll into a structured working cycle. Leave records include approval, rejection and sanction actions.

02

Salary processing

Salary processing supports individual employees and batch operations. Payroll components cover additions, deductions, revisions, arrears and bonus calculations.

03

Loans & adjustments

Employee loan records, instalment splits and carry-forward routines address recurring deductions alongside the regular salary cycle.

04

Finance posting

Payroll posting routines prepare general journal entries. Location, department and payroll-related dimensions support allocation and review within Business Central.

05

Payslips & registers

Payslip generation and sending actions sit alongside attendance, wages, bonus and leave reports, giving HR teams outputs for employee communication and payroll review.

06

Bank payment outputs

Payment preparation includes employee payment data, bank verification fields and file-export routines. Payment outputs remain distinct from the bank’s authorisation and settlement process.

HR to finance

Keep the financial hand-off visible

Prepare the payroll inputs

Employee records, attendance, leave and salary components feed the processing cycle. Loan deductions, bonus, arrears and adjustments are handled as identifiable payroll elements.

Connect the posting outputs

Salary posting routines link payroll calculations to general journals. Dimensions provide a way to attribute payroll entries to the relevant organisational context rather than leaving payroll as an isolated report.
